Practise all four skills

Start where it matters most. Each skill mirrors the real computer-delivered format.

Feedback that tells you what to do next

The score is the start, not the end. Every result is inspectable and honest about its limits.

Marking you can inspect

Every answer is marked with a reason — exact match, accepted spelling/format variant, or over the word limit — alongside the accepted answer and a short explanation. No black-box scores.

Weakness diagnosis by question type

Your analytics break accuracy down by question type (True/False/Not Given, multiple choice, completion) so you can see exactly where marks leak — not just a bare total.

Grounded in the band descriptors

Objective scores follow the official IELTS band scale. Short practices are scaled to the 40-question basis, and every band is shown as an indicative estimate — never presented as an official result.

Feels like the real computer-delivered test

Split-pane reading, an on-screen countdown, and review flags mirror the current computer-delivered format, so practice trains the right habits.

Frequently asked

Is Bandhu affiliated with IELTS?

No. Bandhu is an independent practice tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, or Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Predicted band scores are automated estimates, not official IELTS results.

How is my band calculated?

Reading is auto-marked against the official band scale using a normalization pipeline that accepts spelling and format variants. Because a short practice has fewer than 40 questions, the score is scaled to the standard 40-question basis and shown as an indicative band.

Do you score Writing and Speaking?

Yes, as AI estimates. Writing Task 2 responses are scored across the four IELTS criteria, with a model answer to compare against. Speaking answers are transcribed in your browser (Chrome) and scored on fluency, vocabulary, and grammar — pronunciation isn't scored yet. Every band is an automated estimate, never an official IELTS result.

Do I need an account?

No. Start a test straight away — your attempts are saved to your browser session so your dashboard and analytics build up as you practise.
